Introduction of fan IP waterproof rating
IP (International Protection) protection level system was drafted by IEC (International Electro Technical Commission). The lamps are classified according to their characteristics of dustproof, protection against foreign objects, waterproof and moisture. The foreign objects referred to here include tools, human fingers, etc. Do not touch the live parts in the lamp to avoid electric shock. The IP protection level is composed of two numbers. The first number indicates the level of the lamp's protection against dust and foreign objects; the second number indicates the tightness of the lamp against moisture and water intrusion. The larger the number, the higher the protection level. The protection levels indicated by the two marked numbers are shown in Table 1 and Table 2. The first marked characteristic number (number) refers to the degree of protection. The first marked number: 0. No protection No special protection for outside people or objects. IP0- 1. Prevent solid objects larger than 50mm from intruding and prevent the human body (such as Palm) accidentally touched the parts inside the lamp. Prevent foreign objects of larger size (diameter greater than 50mm) from invading IP1- 2. Prevent solid objects larger than 12mm from intruding and prevent human fingers from touching parts inside the lamp. Prevent foreign objects of medium size (diameter greater than 12mm, length greater than 80mm) from invading IP2- 3. Prevent solid objects greater than 2.5mm from intruding, and prevent tools, wires or similar small foreign objects with diameter or thickness greater than 2.5mm from invading and coming into contact To the internal parts of the lamp IP3- 4. Dust tightness completely prevents the intrusion of foreign objects, and can completely prevent the intrusion of dust. IP6- Second marked characteristic number (number) The second marked number refers to the degree of protection: 0. No protection No special protection for outside people or objects IP-0 1. To prevent the intrusion of dripping water, vertical dripping (such as condensed water) will not cause harmful effects to the lamp IP-1 2. It can still prevent dripping water when tilted at 15°. When the lamp is tilted vertically to 15°, dripping water will not cause harmful effects to the lamp. IP-2 3. To prevent the intrusion of sprayed water, rain or water Water sprayed from a direction with a vertical angle of less than 60° enters the lamp and causes damage IP-3 4. Prevents splash water from entering and prevents water from splashing in all directions from entering the lamp and causing damage IP-4 5. Prevents spray water from entering , To prevent the water sprayed from the nozzles from all directions from entering the luminaire and causing damage to IP-5 6. To prevent flooding Water intrusion, the lamp is immersed in water for a certain time or the water pressure is below a certain standard to ensure that it will not be damaged due to water ingress IP-7 8. To prevent water intrusion when sinking, the lamp is submerged indefinitely and the water pressure is specified early Under conditions, it can ensure that IP-8 is not damaged due to water ingress. The second type: IP protection rating system IP stands for Ingress Protection. The first marked number of the grade such as IP6_ indicates the level of dust protection (6 means no dust enters, see the table below) The second marked number such as IP_5 indicates the level of waterproof protection (5 represents the spray of protective water, see the table below) – The first number defines the description to prevent liquid intrusion – the second number defines the description 0. Protect objects with large surface area such as hands (do not protect against deliberate intrusion). 1 Protection against water droplets (drops falling vertically) 2. Water splashed from both sides of the vertical line at an angle of 60 degrees should not cause damage. 4. Protection against solid foreign objects with a diameter of 1.0 mm and larger. Protect metal wires or strips with a thickness greater than 1.0mm. 4 Protect against water spray. When the device is tilted 15 degrees from its normal position, water spray directed at the device from any direction should not cause damage. 5. Protection against dust. It is impossible to completely prevent dust from entering, but the amount of dust entering will not affect the normal operation of the device. 5 Protection against water jets. Water jets directed at the device from any direction should not cause damage. 6. Impervious to dust. No dust enters. 6 Protection against large waves. The amount of water entering the equipment due to large waves or strong jets shall not cause damage. 7. Protection against flooding. When immersed in water at a defined pressure and time, there should be no intrusion of water that can cause damage. 8. Protect from flooding. The equipment can be immersed in water for a long time under the conditions specified by the manufacturer. The test method and main test conditions of the waterproof test (IP_5) are defined as follows: Test method – The inner diameter of the nozzle of the nozzle is 6.3mm, placed 2.5-3m away from the test sample. Water flow rate – 12.5 l/min ±5% Test duration – 1 min/m2 but for at least 3 minutes. Test Conditions-Spray the test sample from every feasible angle.
